Okay, I know I look like a dork in my long pants at the beach — it got better when they were rolled up past my knees — but the trip to the ocean was a bit impromptu; I do, in fact, have shorts and swim trunks, I just didn’t have them on me at the time.
But the picture is in fact of my first steps into ocean waters. And those waters were quite cold, at least for the first several minutes.
Don’t know which I enjoyed more, though: walking through shallow ocean waters or Alicia getting “attacked” by a bearded clam which had washed up on shore!
Details: It was the Atlantic Ocean (Gulf of Mexico) at Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island.
