If you are not willing to die for what is in the Bible, you should not give money for Bibles. Because if you give, we will smuggle more Bibles. And if we smuggle more Bibles, there will be more martyrs.

Sad, in so many ways. I’ll tell you something though, the moment somebody tells me that I cannot preach the Word is the moment I begin shouting it from the rooftops.

I’ve believed for a while that the strongest members of the church are those who live under persecution; the harder Satan’s kingdom pushes against us, the fiercer the Spirit gets, it seems.
To continue that thought, perhaps freedom of religion is a bad thing — there’s no threat, nothing to sharpen our faith or force us into deeply dependent relationships with God. Many (I say again, many) within the church will be shown to be rocky ground hearers — their faith burned up by the persecution they will face. Still many others will soak up that persecution and use it to grow.
I’ve not faced true persecution; should it ever come, I trust that I will remain faithful.
