After a few months of anticipation — at least on my part — Alicia & I hosted our first Bible study in our home. As I told our guests at the outset of the study, I was quite nervous about leading the study, and for the first fifteen to twenty minutes or so, it really showed. I haven’t taught a proper Bible study in years, and this time around I seemed to enjoy the experience quite a bit more.
The studies, which we will be hosting weekly, are a ministry of Christ Presbyterian Church our church in Richmond, Indiana. If you’re in the area, check it out!
So the study was to be on Mark 1:1-20. We got through verse 8. Awesome. I’m actually quite thankful it turned out like it did — I’d very much like there to be more conversation & fellowship than soapboxed lesson. Though, the soapboxed lesson pretty much laid the foundation for that conversation. Honestly, I felt that if I had gone through all 20 verses, I wouldn’t have been able to do the text any sort of justice at all.
Perhaps most unfortunately is that, because we haven’t gotten through all twenty verses yet, I’m not going to share the outline of the lesson online yet. Sorry, you’re all going to have to wait!
