Stand against the Freedom of Choice Act

President-elect Barack Obama has promised Planned Parenthood that would sign the Freedom of Choice Act into law.

What does this mean? This is from Fight FOCA:

[FOCA] would eradicate state and federal laws that the majority of Americans support, such as:

  • Bans on Partial Birth Abortion
  • Requirements that women be given information about the risks of getting an abortion
  • Only licensed physicians can perform abortions
  • Parents must be informed and give consent to their minor daughter’s abortion

FOCA would erase these laws and prevent states from enacting similar protective measures in the future.

Now, I’m often told that President-elect Obama is not “pro-abortion,” but it seems to me odd that his efforts to “reduce abortions” will include making them easier than ever to get.

Is this how we fight other things? Is underage drinking fought by removing all barriers to it? Is underage smoking fought by removing all barriers to it?

What on Earth makes Obama or anyone else think that by removing all barriers to getting an abortion, the numbers of abortions will actually be reduced?

Call abortion murder, outlaw it, and punish it like any other murder. That will reduce the number of abortions performed. I promise.

It isn’t about choice or politics. It’s about life. And for some reason, liberal politicians and lobbyists have no respect for it in its most defenseless state.

This is the fruit of evolution, secular humanism, and other antibiblical worldviews, friends. Stand up for truth while you still have the freedoms to stand.
